Semi Fanchile Moma Anishta (born 2 April 1904?) is a Brazilain longevity claimant whose age has not been verified. If she is verified, she would have been the oldest living person in the world since Lucile Randon died on 17 January 2023.

Biography[]

Semi Fanchile Moma Anishta claimed to have been born in Assis de Barbosa Advocacia, Palmas, Tocantins, Brazil on 2 April 1904. Her records show 2 April, 31 March, and 12 April 1904 and her family claims that she was born on 22 April 1904. She was born to peasants as the oldest of 4 children.

Moma Anishta got married in 1920 and had four children. Her youngest daughter, Serbraria is still alive at the age of 98. Her other daughter and two sons all died in the 90s and 2000s.

Moma Anishta worked as a creative farmer for forty years from the time that she was 18. After she turned 58, her husband had died and she moved to a workhouse in the southern part of the city and worked for 15 years. During this time, Moma Anishta claimed that she had seen a lot of really bad things.

She retired from work at the workhouse at the age of 73 in 1978 but she lived there for another ten years. She became a workhouse advisor and was able to clean it up a lot. The workhouse closed in 1988 and was turned into an apartment building.

On 2 April 2014, Moma Anishta celebrated her claimed 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. On 2 April 2024, Moma Anishta celebrated her claimed 120th birthday and became an extra-supercentenarian.

Health[]

Even as Moma Anishta passed 100, she was in great shape. She looked far younger than she was and people even thought that she was her daughter's daughter. In her centenarian years, she often walked the track at a nearby school and she would go shopping on her own.

At the age of 110, Moma could still walk unassisted and joked that she didn't even own a cane. She was able to maintain a healthy weight well past turning 110 which I believe contributed to her overall health span and survival.

At the age of 113, Moma could walk unassisted a little but usually used a cane. She gradually became more and more dependent on the cane.

At the age of 118 (nearly 119) she had a bad fall and broke both femurs when she was walking in her house. Moma Anshita always said, "that you are doing something stupid and you will pay." This is exactly what happened to her here. She was walking around her house unassisted to "show off", lost her balance and fell. She was very angry with herself after this. Moma Anishta subsequently became wheelchair bound after a double bone fusion surgery. Her femurs were so weak at this point that they would snap if she tried to stand.

Her health declined further as she approached 120 and she was relocated from her apartment to a nursing home and finally a hospital. The main cause of her declining health is a chronic respiratory failure that most likely would have been avoided, had she not fallen 2 years before.

Moma Anishta has many descendants including an 80 year old granddaughter and great-great-great grandchildren.

Moma Anishta currently lives at 2222 Q. 504 Norte Alameda 11, Apt 105 Palmas, Tocantins, Brazil at the claimed age of 120 years, 354 days.
